The Lolo National Forest management plan is being revised! This gives you a wonderful opportunity to let the managing agencies know what’s important to you, and your feedback will effect how the forest is managed for decades to come. We’ve spent some time reading through the current draft proposal, and have found that it is seriously lacking in fungal considerations. While this is certainly is an oversight, it gives us a chance to let the forest planners know how vital Fungi are in keeping our forests healthy, as well as their importance in our lives as foragers and fungal enthusiasts of all kinds. Please take some time to read through the posts below. Within, you’ll find a ton of great information regarding how we can leverage our knowledge and passion as a community to keep crucial habitat in tact. When the mushroom populations are healthy, all organisms within the forest benefit!
